Can you eat a rhino?
Rhino is a masculine and large animal, but its meat is soft and tender. It tastes like pork, but some people compare it to beef, which is less fatty. What is this? Although rhino meat is edible but is not sold in the open market, its horn is more in demand, especially in countries like Vietnam and China.
Thankfully, these accounts give some hint as to what elephant meat actually tastes like: it's flavor is by turns “unpleasant” and “peculiar” and its texture varies between “coarse” and “slightly gelatinous.” Apparently, elephant tastes like Spam.
Hippos can reach speeds of 30mph! And in a race with a rhino, it would depend on the rhino, a couch potato rhino would probably lose to hippo, but a well-trained athlete rhino would win. Rhinos have been recorded at speeds of 34mph, so just a tad faster than hippos.

Giraffes used not to be widely eaten, although unfortunately they are now eaten by local peoples, so that giraffes have become an endangered species. Perhaps it would therefore be a good idea to raise them for food, as we do cows and pigs.
Veal is considered the best meat because it has almost no fat and is extremely soft. It is used to make the best steaks for which you will pay a considerable price. Unlike young cattle, the older beef has more fat and fiber, which makes it sea tender.

Sustainable meat source
All zebra that hits the food chain is sustainably farmed from the Burchell breed from South Africa. As long as you use a quality butcher, this is an excellent meat to try and has little environmental impact, just like kangaroo. Zebras are vegetarian and are reared on grass.
The meat has an earthy or gamey taste similar to alligator meat, with flesh that's white and a little rubbery to the touch. But in terms of meat more people are familiar with, it's described as a little similar to quail, more so Cornish game hen, and most like pork.
Cooked dolphin meat has a flavor very similar to beef liver. Dolphin meat is high in mercury, and may pose a health danger to humans when consumed. Ringed seals were once the main food staple for the Inuit. They are still an important food source for the people of Nunavut and are also hunted and eaten in Alaska.
Can you eat tiger?

Besides use of their body parts for either decoration or medicinal products, big cats such as tigers, leopards and snow leopards are also in high demand for their meat, which is considered a delicacy in several Asian countries such as China and Vietnam.
It is not flavorful and certainly not tender. It is a bit greasy, like goat and tough like llama. But when your only source of protein is peanuts, eating monkey ass can be a treat.
Cow meat is called beef, and pig meat is called pork — but camel meat is just called camel.
With no horns present, there is no reason for wildlife criminals to target and kill rhinos, so dehorning is an effective, temporary safeguard against poaching. It causes no pain to the rhino, and the horns will eventually grow back, just like our own hair or fingernails.
Preference for wild rhinos
The trade in rhino horn is highly lucrative. In the black market, rhino horn prices can fetch up to US$400,000 per kg for Asian rhino horns and US$20,000 per kg for African rhino horns.
For example, rhinoceros horn is more valuable by weight than gold, diamonds or cocaine. A recent report puts the price of rhino horn in Asia at $60,000 per pound.
Horse meat, or chevaline, as its supporters have rebranded it, looks like beef, but darker, with coarser grain and yellow fat.
A fish fillet, from the French word filet (pronounced [filɛ]) meaning a thread or strip, is the flesh of a fish which has been cut or sliced away from the bone by cutting lengthwise along one side of the fish parallel to the backbone.
The bulk of the male stock is castrated--that makes a steer--and raised for high grade USDA prime, choice or good beef. The female stock is not bred; they remain heifers and are raised, fed and fattened along with the steers to provide beef equal in quality to that of any steer.
Although it's a rare dish or saved for honored guests, lion meat does appear on tables in some African countries and occasionally in India. In the modern era, lion meat is still a very exotic meat, but it's on the menus of some restaurants around the world, and it's also sold by some meat markets for meals at home.
Do people eat kangaroo?

Why are rhino killed for?
Rhinos are hunted and killed for their horns. The major demand for rhino horn is in Asia, where it is used in ornamental carvings and traditional medicine. Rhino horn is touted as a cure for hangovers, cancer, and impotence.
Vietnam is one of the world's largest consumers of rhino horn, contributing to the continued poaching of rhinos in the wild. Last year in Africa 1,100 rhinos were killed by poachers. And today there are only about 29,500 left in the world.
Rhino horn is made from keratin—a protein found in fingernails and hair—and the product is falsely said to help treat everything from cancer to gout when consumed in its powder form. There are no proven medicinal benefits in humans from either product.
Rhino horn is coveted for rumoured medicinal properties and as a status symbol. To stop the rhino poaching crisis, it has been suggested that horns sustainably harvested from live rhinos can be sold in a legal trade to international buyers to meet demand.
Currently, international trade in rhino horn is banned under CITES, in response to growing concerns that increasing demand from Asian nations over the last decade has led to a poaching crisis that has decimated many African rhino populations.
Four states have specific laws banning certain transfers of ivory or rhinoceros horn: California, New Jersey, New York, and Washington. The first three states enacted their laws legislatively.
The current rhino poaching crisis began in 2008, with increasing numbers of rhino killed for their horn throughout Africa until 2015. Thankfully, poaching numbers have decreased across the continent since the peak of 1,349 in 2015. Yet, at least one rhino is still killed every day: there is a lot more that we must do.
