The sling pouch should hang from one shoulder to the opposite hip. You want to be able to wear it with the tail pulled all the way through the rings, it is ok to pull some of the padding through as well. Do not put a baby in the sling if you cannot get the stitched tail completely through the rings. Make sure the rings and tail are in front and the shoulder pad is on your shoulder. The pouch and padded rails will hang around your body and down to the opposite side. Pull the pouch toward the front so it is firm against your back. Try fitting the sling using a doll until you are comfortable with the procedure. Hold the baby to your body in the desired position. Pull the pouch fabric up over your arm and the baby. Hold the baby in position with the free arm as you pull the first out of the sling. Switch arms again and adjust the fabric around the baby. Pull on the tail to tighten up the slack in the pouch and pull in the top padded rail so it is also snug to the baby. Being able to pull fabric through these rings unevenly is one of the keys to using and really enjoying this sling for a few years. Look at these and the other photos, Don’t be afraid to try your own ideas.
