Kangaroo
Once baby can hold her head up well on her own, this is a wonderful way to carry her so that she can see the world. My daughter loved to sit in her sling and peek out of my coat as we walked around the neighborhood. Again, get started by putting your sling on and holding baby to your body (her back squarely to your front). I found setting the baby on my hand inside the sling, and using one finger to keep her feet crossed, worked well for me. Then swap hands to get your arm out of the sling as with the other positions, and still holding baby up pull the fabric up under the baby about 6-8 inches in the back between you. Now baby should be sitting in a pocket of fabric. Pull in the extra fabric and tighten it by pulling on the tail. Tighten the rest of the fabric under babys arms and over her chest. **Caution: Do not bend or lean over forward when using this position, and keep one hand on baby at all times. This position is not quite as secure as the other positions, and baby could possibly fall out if you bend forward, so use this position with extra caution and attentiveness.
